How Can I Join A Committee? In accordance with the Arkansas Pharmacists Association By-Laws... Article III - Committees Section 1. Standing Committees. The Standing Committees of this Association shall be an Executive Committee, Policy Committee on Professional Affairs and Ethical Practices, Policy Committee on Public Affairs, Policy Committee on Organizational Affairs, and Policy Committee on Third Party Issues. Each Standing Committee, with the exception of the Executive committee, is to consist of at least seven (7) active members of this Association, with at least one (1) such members from each of the Association's four (4) areas and not less then one (1) and not more than four (4) members who served on each such Committee, if any, during the preceding year. The Executive committee is to consist of the President, President-Elect, Vice-President, and Immediate Past President. The Executive Vice President shall serve as a permanent secretary without voting privileges. Section 3. Committee Appointments. The President shall appoint the chairman and other members of each of the Association's committees, except that each such appointment shall require the approval of and confirmation by the Board of Directors. The President shall not appoint more than three members of the Board of Directors to any standing committees. Section 4. TERM. The term for each member of any committee shall be one year, with the term ending at the close of the annual meeting following appointment. Except for the ex-officio member of a committee, a member shall not serve on any committee for more than four (4) consecutive years or more than three (3) committees concurrently.

consider issues arising from the interface of the profession of pharmacy with
the public including, but not limited to:
The Policy Committee on Organizational Affairs shall consider issues pertaining to the structure, function, and development of the Association, as well as any other matters referred to it for consideration.
The Policy Committee on Third Party Issues shall
consider issues pertaining to any person, company, or organization involved as a
third party entity affecting the profession of pharmacy, including but not
